I think it would be more accurate to say USC is in an Indiana-like situation, don’t you think? Yet, have we read Katz write about this? Instead, he wrote a complimentary blog of O’Neill keeping the assistants and actually notes that the Trojans can compete in the Pac-10 if they can score? They may be good on defense, but generally to keep up the defensive intensity, you need a bench, which USC will lack. O’Neill will be forced to take in some walk-ons a la Indiana. I am not sure why Katz has a slant against Arizona, other than the fact someone there broke the news of Olson’s retirement to Dick Vitale instead of him.

no one said the UA was in an indiana situation but mr. katz. the troubles we experienced in hiring a coach were exasperated by the likes of him because he was dogging the program on a national platform and “reporting” that we were being shot-down by anyone and everyone, even when no evidence existed that we’d even made contact.
