| Excerpt of Dallas Morning News article on Jason Terry’s game-winning shot vs. Philly
“Jason Terry’s shot came after Philadelphia’s Andre Iguodala hit from 3-point land to tie the score with 5.6 seconds left. The Mavericks, who led by as much as 17 and were up by 11 with six minutes to go, had to struggle down the stretch. It wasn’t until Iguodala missed another long jumper at the buzzer that they could heave a sigh of relief. The winning play started with Kidd finding Terry on the baseline. He took a quick dribble and launched the shot. “It’s going to be Dirk or Jet on that play,” said Kidd, who had a season-best 22 points to go with 11 assists. “Jet was wide-open and we have a lot of confidence in him doing the right thing and he did. “He was plan A, because I saw he was wide open. Dirk was plan B, C and D after that.” With 1.4 seconds to work with, the Sixers got the ball to Iguodala again, but his heave was off the mark.” |
