| Excerpt from a Houston Chronicle article about Chase Budinger’s bouncing back to lead Rockets to a win over Philadelphia: Chase Budinger bounced back from Wednesday’s 0-for-5 shooting night to help key the success of the Rockets’ bench in Friday’s win over the 76ers. This should not have come as a surprise, however. He has done it repeatedly this season. In the four games that followed games in which Budinger struggled most, going a combined 2-for-27, he has hit a combined 21 of 39 shots, averaging 12 points. He made six of eight shots for 15 points Friday. “It’s a real telling sign,” Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. “It just shows he’s going to be a solid player. He really struggled against Cleveland but he came right in tonight, and in the second quarter and in the fourth quarter he made two or three big shots when we needed baskets. He’s been a guy that responds. It’s kind of typical of our team.” |
